The scene of many artistic and cultural activities since its inception in 1967, the Pablo Tobón Uribe Theater has occupied an important place in the history of Medellin, Colombia. This 800 spectator capacity theater is capable of meeting the demands of most staged events and ceremonial functions. It is essentially an open-air square adorned with gardens, a water fountain as well as sculpture “La Bachué”, designed by master sculpture Jose Horacio Betancur. The sculpture serves as a back drop to this cultural and arts setting.
